Dinner Meeting 7th March
Damian Whittle, the Peninsula Rotaract President spoke about his experiences with “Steer North”, a 4,000 km bike ride from Melbourne to Cairns. Twenty cyclists, whose ages ranged from 18 to 50, took part in the inaugural Ride, which covered approximately 100 km per day over 45 days. To take part riders had to pledge to raise a minimum of $5,000 to support cancer research, education and patient care. Damian raised about $6,000. It was a very interesting presentation as shown by the numerous questions afterwards. Thank you Damian.
