9th District Conference. Theme : Children Are Our Future. Jennie, John and I enjoyed the District Conference at the Wrest Point Convention Centre in Hobart last weekend along with over 400 others. The Conference officially opened on the Friday night. The official party and past District Governors were introduced as well as a Roll Call of the attending Clubs. Where would the local Community Be without Rotary Club of Seaford Carrum Downs? There would be none of these programs would be available for the young people of the area. Our club on Tuesday night donated some money towards Interplast. As a club we have had many dealings with the organisation over the years and the outstanding work they carry out.

Peter, the newest member of our club but has been in Rotary for many years shared his life story with us. It was very interesting and I am sure we learn’t a little bit more about him. We also discussed the District Conference this weekend which should be lots of fun with some great guest speakers. There will be 4 of us going this year.
