Last week we had Peter Klaaysen from Casey Rotary Club speaking on “Wheelchairs For Kids”. Peter was very passionate and informative about the “Wheelchairs For Kids” program, which is the project of District Governor’s partner -Trevor Westland – this year. Judy and I donated 400 Teddy bears to this project, which are all on their way to Perth. (see the cute bear at the front in the photo below) Judy and I visited the Casey Rotary Club last night, where I presented the power point presentation on ROMAC.
Last Tuesday night 26th of July our first Interact club was born. It was a fantastic evening, great to see parents, brothers and sisters all supporting the formation of this club. They have lots of projects planned in the coming months. See the pics on their facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/carrumdownssecondarycollege/
On Tuesday night we can confirm we will be holding a Trivia Night to raise funds for the Langwarrin Scouts. No official date has been set but we are expecting to hold it sometime in September. We love to organise Trivia nights for other groups and we haven’t done one for a couple of years. It’s now back to collecting stuff for the Silent Auction and Raffle. Also Louise, Peter and Andrew visited the local Carrum Downs Secondary College and it’s official within a month we will have sponsored the creation of an Interact Club.
