Our Trivia Night with the Langwarrin Scouts is back on again this year. We raised nearly $3000 last year so we will be looking to top that again this year. It will be the same location as last year. Last week we had discussions about coming events with contributions from various members. This was followed by a board meeting. It was decided that the club would “buy” two wheelchairs for kids (Trevor Westland’s partner’s project this year) and make it a continuous project for this Rotary year. PLEASE NOTE: We will not be meeting at The Sands for the next three weeks. Welcome to the Carrum Downs Secondary College Interact Club which has been a few months in the making. They have already started getting their projects together and we are looking forward to being there to help them along the way.
We had the opportunity on Sunday to meet with the Rotary International President Ian Riseley at a lunch organised in Burwood for all Victorian Rotary Districts. He is only the 5th Australian to be RI President and only the 3rd Victorian so it was a great privilege to meet with him.
